Malinois
Breed History:
The Belgian Malinois is , as its name suggests, originally
from Belgium. It is one of 4 different varieties of Belgian Sheepdog and has a
short coat of varying shades of fawn to mahogany, quite often with black
overlay and a dark facial mask. The other varieties are the Tervuren (long
haired with similar coloring to the Malinois), Groenendal (long haired black)
and Lakenois (wire coat). Originally used as a herding dog, the Malinois
quickly proved itself to be a good military, police and protection sport dog
due to its high drives, athletic abilities and highly trainable natures. Today
Malinois can be seen as the breed of choice for French Ring Sport, and are also
used in everything from herding to SAR (Search and Rescue) to Agility, Disc Dog
and Flyball.

Requin Ombres Valeureux – “Q” is 5 this year and
we hope to have a litter from her by Xago. Xago is hip certified and currently at
Ring II. If you are interested in reserving a puppy we are now taking deposits
of $200.00 Can. which will be applied to the total price of $750.00 Can. Q’s
hips are OFA Excellent and the vet said he has never seen such tight elbows! Q
is currently working at the Ring II level and we hope to continue on with her
second leg of Ring II and maybe even Ring III this year. Q also participated in
the Prairie Sharks herding clinic and proved to have beautiful herding style.
Like all of our dogs, these puppies will be fully guaranteed (See Animals Available).
