| Accomplishments: (This includes
titles, movie work etc. for the dog as well as accomplishments of the
handler related-to-dogs):
Voodoo received 4th place in his first hog baying event, the 2 Dog A Bay with his mom, Creole at the 2004 NALC trial in California and we’re hoping for more voodoo magic this year. Creole took the hog dog stage by storm at that same trial by receiving 1st place 1 Dog B bay, High Point Female B Bay, 4th place 1 Dog A Bay, 2 Dog with Voodoo and High Point Female A Bay. This qualifies us for the Nationals in Louisiana. These 2 crazy cats also dabble in some Ring activities just for fun, and they are proven herding dogs as well. As for myself, I haven’t achieved much with Ring Sport yet, but with each new Catahoula I work with we make better and more rapid progress, so I am still hopeful there is one out there for me. In the meantime, “Here piggy piggy!” |
| Goals:
I realize the Catahoula breed is only in the experimental stages of protection training but, I do know Ring training will only help my dogs be stronger in their breed trials and whatever else they may do. I hope we can do us proud in Hog Baying and Obedience this year. I will always keep working my Ring Catahoulas on the side in hopes that someday we have a major breakthrough. What a thrill it would be to have the first and only Ring titled Catahoula in the world! |

Know about yourself and/or your dog:
People can laugh about me dabbling in Ring with my Catahoulas, but we’ll see who’s laughing when a wild pig gets loose! I love my dogs no matter what they do or don’t do, and I know they love me unconditionally too. You can’t beat that! |
